About Me

Hi, I'm Emma.

I'm so happy you're here.

If you've found your way to Her Beautiful Life, there's a good chance you're searching for something too.

Maybe you're navigating pregnancy after loss.
Maybe your nervous system feels like it's constantly on high alert.
Maybe life looks fine from the outside, but inside you're exhausted from always feeling anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected.

Whatever brought you here, I hope this becomes a place where you can breathe a little easier.

For over twenty years I've worked as a hairdresser, listening to thousands of conversations about life, grief, motherhood, relationships and everything in between.

But my own life quietly changed after experiencing five miscarriages.

Loss has a way of changing how your body experiences the world. Mine stopped feeling safe.

I became hyper-aware of everything around me. My nervous system lived in survival mode. I struggled with anxiety, overwhelm, perfectionism and a constant need to control my environment just to feel calm.

For a long time, I thought I had to simply live with it.

Instead, I became fascinated by understanding why my body felt the way it did.

That journey led me into learning about nervous system regulation, nutrition, blood sugar, slow living and the everyday habits that help us feel safe again. Not overnight, and not perfectly—but little by little.

Those small changes became the foundation of a life that felt gentler.

Today, I'm also walking another deeply personal journey.

I'm currently pregnant with our rainbow baby after years of recurrent pregnancy loss.

This pregnancy has been filled with gratitude, but also fear, healing and learning to trust my body again. I know what it's like to hold hope and anxiety in the same breath, and that's something I'll always write honestly about.

Her Beautiful Life was born from all of these experiences.

It isn't about creating a perfect life.

It's about creating a life that feels safe.

A slower life.
A calmer home.
A nourished body.
A regulated nervous system.
A table full of beautiful food.
Gentle routines.
Meaningful relationships.
And finding joy again after surviving difficult seasons.

Here you'll find honest reflections, practical tools, nourishing recipes, evidence-informed wellness, pregnancy after loss support, nervous system education and the small rituals that have helped me rebuild my own sense of peace.

As I continue my own education in nervous system regulation and holistic health, I'll always be transparent about what comes from my personal experience and what comes from research and professional learning.

My hope is that when you leave this space, you don't feel overwhelmed by another list of things you "should" be doing.

Instead, I hope you feel a little lighter.

A little calmer.

And reminded that healing doesn't always happen through dramatic changes.

Sometimes it begins with making a cup of coffee, opening a window, cooking yourself a nourishing meal, taking a deep breath, or simply realising that you're not alone.

Thank you for being here.

I'm so glad you found Her Beautiful Life.
